Well, as is often the case. I’m doing this simply so people will stop saying, “You should write a blog!”.

And honestly, I like the idea of having a place to catalog my observations and process my thoughts of this crazy roller coaster called “being an entrepreneur”. If you had told 18-year-old me that 42-year-old me would be working 80-hour weeks, earning less than minimum wage, to run (of all things) a skincare company, I would have wondered what poor life decisions had led me there. But now that I’m here, I wouldn’t trade it for the world!

First let me introduce myself. I’m the much-less-adorable-half of the dynamic duo behind True Love Skincare (aka Chris). My spitfire of a wife, Jennifer, is the one everyone knows & loves, and for good reason. She’s an absolute dynamo. I’m always been stunned by her ability to make friends with anyone she meets. And I’m lucky enough to say we’ve been a team for 20 years (this August). And running a business has been tough, but I couldn’t ask for a better partner. But believe me, she’s a lot more tough and tenacious than you might think from her cute & cuddly appearance. 95% of the time, we’re perfectly in sync. And when we’re not? Well, not many business partners get to have makeup *** after an argument. (Try to keep that last one between us. If she knows I said that, she’ll kill me and then die from embarrassment.)

I honestly don’t know how these things work, so I’ll keep this intro brief. If you’re reading this, I’m assuming you know of True Love Skincare. If not, stick around and find out what makes us different. If you came here expecting the same old lotions, anti-wrinkle creams, and moisturizers, then I’m sorry to disappoint. I’ll try and share some details of why we’re so different.

But honestly, I can only talk so much about warts, cold sores, and age spots. Also, I’ll be talking about the joys and pains of starting a business, what it’s like to be married to a velvet pitbull, and to be the father of five NEVER boring children.
